Teaching Artificial Intelligence to Pre-Service Elementary Teachers Through Educational Robotics

Join this talk via Zoom: Click to join

In this talk, we will share our study that examines how pre-service elementary teachers build a conceptual understanding of artificial intelligence (AI) through hands-on robotics activities. The study focuses on how educational robotics, specifically the AI-powered self-driving car Zumi, can support engagement with core AI concepts and practices, such as perception and the use of training data. We will also discuss how these experiences may contribute to AI literacy and influence how pre-service teachers begin to envision integrating AI into elementary classrooms
